A Dogs Eye View: Phoenix’s Surgery

It’s been a Ruff summer for Phoenix and Smokey.

A Dog’s Eye View: You Ate What???

I created an online survey where people told me the strangest things their dog has eaten and not make himself (or herself) sick. The following list has me convinced me we are all surrounded by Bad Dogs to such a degree, that when my major policy renewal season is over at the insurance agency, I may just start petitioning the State Legislature to make Chronic Bad Dog Syndrome (CBDS) an ailment worthy of allowing me to obtain an ADA placard for my car, and maybe install some sirens and flashing lights. Park Status Update: May 27

The grass is coming in nicely, but still needs protection from even accidental escapes. As noted, we will be reviewing...

A Dog’s Eye View: Back from the Dead… Again.

Hello again, I seem to be following a pattern of writing a new article every 13 months to two years....

A Great Big Thanks!

Thank you to all of the wonderful and hard-working folks who came down to the spring cleanup work party (aka poop-a-palooza)! Everyone worked very hard to clean up, make the park look nice - and did a great job.

UPDATE: Poop-a-palooza and Spring Work Party

POOP-A-PALOOZA AND WORK PARTY HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO APRIL 22 - NOTE THE CHANGED DATE! We are planning a Poop-a-palooza and work-party to do spring-time cleanup maintenance on the park – On Saturday, April 22, from 8 till 12. Please contact Will at webmaster@chelmsforddogassociation.org or on Facebook if you are interested in helping. (Do note, this does qualify as volunteer hours for high school students and the requirements for the National Honor Society.) The park will be CLOSED for normal usage during this work-party, but volunteers can bring their dogs to hang out in the training area while we humans make the park nice for them (and us).

Toxic Dog Waste?

Dog poop is a problem we deal with on a daily basis. But is it dangerous? How much do you know? Is uncleaned pet waste a health hazard? The short answer is YES! Read the article for the details...
