2022 Springtime Work Party
On Saturday, April 2, from 8am till 2pm, the CDA is planning a work-party to do spring-time cleanup maintenance on the park.
(The work party will happen in any weather less than a downpour.)
The park will be CLOSED for normal usage during this work-party, but volunteers can bring their dogs to hang out in the training area while we humans make the park nice for them (and us).
Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquets
Hannaford in Drum Hill has included the Chelmsford Dog Association as the charitable organization for “Bloomin’ 4 Good” donations in March.
For each of the marked bouquets purchased during the month of March, the CDA will receive $1.
Storm Coming: Lot will be Closed
NOTICE: A major storm is expected Thursday night and throughout the day on Friday.
As usual, with snowfall accumulations over 3 inches: The Dog Park parking lot will be CLOSED, pending plowing. Expect the lot to be closed all day Friday.
Storm Coming!
Forecasts have us receiving between 5 to 8 inches overnight (Jan-6 – Jan-7).
The dog park parking lot will be CLOSED when we expect plowable snow (3+ inches) until the town has had a chance to plow it.
The park itself remains open, but there is no parking in the lot when the yellow chains are up
Lost & Found Clean out!
The lost & found mailbox has gotten rather full lately. Accordingly, we will be cleaning out the mailbox by Wednesday (Dec 1). All of the contents will be placed in a box in the shed — any CDA board member can bring the box out if you think you need to look for something.
Chelmsford Holiday Prelude Pics
Many thanks to the Chelmsford Decorating Committee for sponsoring the Santa on the common during the Holiday Prelude. As our contribution to the community, Donna Parlee took the pictures of kids, adults and pets with Santa and we have posted the full-quality digital images in our gallery.
Winter time is quiet time…
Thank you to everyone who supported the Chelmsford Dog Association, participated in our events and otherwise contributed to the success of the CDA and the Chelmsford Dog Park!
As December rolls in, we enter the quiet time (in terms of activities) in the CDA schedule.
The park itself ALWAYS needs the volunteers, and we’ll keep on top of the maintenance during the winter months.
CDA Sponsored Blood Drive
The CDA has teamed up with the American Red Cross to sponsor a blood drive on November 26, at the American legion, Post 133 in North Chelmsford (on rt 40, next to Freeman Lake).
Come support the community and beyond by donating blood.
