Water is OFF until Spring
We had our first hard freeze last night.
Therefore, the water fountains in the park have been shut off for the season.
Please plan accordingly and bring water for your dog(s) until the water can be turned on again in the spring.
2019 CDA Annual Meeting
The Chelmsford Dog Association Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13 in the Training Room at the Chelmsford Fire Department at the Chelmsford Town Offices (50 Billerica Rd, Chelmsford) and will begin at 6:30PM.
The CDA Board of Directors has 4 open (2 year) positions for election this year.
We encourage all CDA members to attend the Annual Meeting in November, and vote. (Only those present at the meeting may vote.)
NOTICE: Meeting Dates Changed
The meeting dates for the CDA meetings in September and October have changed.
The meetings which were scheduled for Tuesday, September 17 and Tuesday, October 8 have been moved to Wednesday, September 18 and Wednesday, October 9.
Change for Change delayed to Aug 4
Training Area Rentals
The CDA is thrilled to announce that Feathers & Tails Pet Care will be renting the “training area” from 8am to 5pm on weekdays, starting July 22, 2019.
Although they might not be present during that entire period, every day, the training area has been rented to them for their use only. This means that when they are present, that area is CLOSED for normal park use. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation by leaving that area if trainees do show up.
HEAT WARNING – Park Closed
Due to excessive temperature and humidity expected this weekend, with heat indexes topping 105, the Chelmsford Dog Park will be closed from Saturday, July 20 through Sunday, July 21 for the safety and well-being of our canine companions. Please take care with your dogs and keep them inside and hydrated in this dangerous heat.
Stop & Shop Community Bag Program
For every “Give Back” bag purchased at the Stop & Shop on Chelmsford Street in Chelmsford in August, $1 will be donated to the Chelmsford Dog Association, to support the Chelmsford Dog Park.
Summertime Work Party
We’ve got stuff to do!
We are planning a work-party to do mid-year cleanup and maintenance on the park – As usual, the work party will be from 8am to noon – this time on Sunday, July 28
The park will be CLOSED for normal usage during this work-party, but volunteers can bring their dogs to hang out in the training area while we humans make the park nice for them (and us).

We still have a pretty long list of things to get done and. As usual, we’ll continue to hold the work parties. However, we need ongoing help from you!
