The winning entry for the "Design a flag for the Chelmsford Dog Park" was submitted by Kriti Signh, a student at Chelmsford High School.
In 2017-2018, a version of this survey was conducted specifically for the Chelmsford Dog Park. The information gathered was beneficial toward guiding the goals of the CDA in the development of the Chelsmford Dog Park. We're now re-running the survey to gather results from a wider audience and for a number of different town dog parks in the state. We are interested in finding out about your perceptions of your local dog park and other area dog parks.
As noted in the previous message from DPAC, the Chelmsford Board of Health has allowed the Chelmsford Dog Park to reopen. Of course, STAYING open requires people to follow the guidelines and practice safe social distancing.

The MSPCA needs our help! Their supply of cat and dog food is running low. The CDA has set up 2 donation areas and will be collecting on May 30 from 10am to 2pm at the Chelmsford Public Library and at the American Legion in North Chelmsford. Come see us, every bag counts!
Our Board of Directors, led by Kathy Gould, our events coordinator, is providing pet food to families in need of assistance at the Chelmsford Food Pantry on Wednesday evenings from 5pm - 8pm.
Starting on March 23, by order of the Town of Chelmsford, the Chelmsford Dog Park will be closed until further notice.
The CDA Board and Public Meeting, scheduled for March 19 has been cancelled and the meeting for April 9 will be postponed (date TBD).
On September 19 (Raindate, September 20), from 10am to 2pm, the Chelmsford Dog Association will be partnering with Savage Camaros Car Club and Black Flag Photo Works to host a fun event at the Chelmsford Dog Park as a fundraiser for the Lowell Humane Society.
The CDA has teamed up with Christopher J. Banks, a professional photographer at New England Graphix, to host 2 sessions of doggie photos! We will be set up at the Chelmsford Dog Park (in the training area) on [NEW DATES TBD - keep an eye here for updates!]. Requested donation $5
The CDA is hosting a PetCPR+ Certification course from Pet Emergency Education on [Rescheduled date and time still to be determined] at the Chelmsford Community Center at North Town Hall! Registration is $69.95 and most of the class spots are already filled so keep an eye on this page for notice when the class is rescheduled and the registration re-opens for the remaining space!

The option to automatically transfer your membership to the Friends of the Chelmsford Dog Park expired on January 31, 2020....
We have collectively established a new organization called "Friends of the Chelmsford Dog Park" (FCDP), which has the sole mission of working with the Town of Chelmsford to develop, maintain, and otherwise care for the Chelmsford Dog Park. Effective January 1, 2020, the CDA is handing off the responsibility for the Chelmsford Dog Park to the FCDP while the CDA focuses on community events, outreach, support, and education.
