Working together with the Chelmsford Food Pantry, the Chelmsford Dog Association is collecting donations of pet food at the Chelmsford Food Pantry, 50 Rear Billerica Road, Chelmsford. The donations will be provided to any family in need of assistance.
We will accept donations of dog and cat food, kitty litter in any quantity, as well as smaller quantities of rabbit and other pet foods. Per the Board of Health, we can only accept and distribute unopened bags and cans.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Kathy Gould, director and events coordinator, Chelmsford Dog Association, will be at the Chelmsford Food Pantry every Wednesday. From 3pm to 5pm, she will be collecting donations of pet food. She will then distribute the donated pet food to families from 5pm to 8pm.
If you can’t make it to the Chelmsford Food Pantry and would like to donate pet food, please contact Kathy by DM on Facebook. A portion of the pet food and supplies which are left at the end of each week plus any pet food that is left over once the COVID-19 pandemic is resolved will be donated to the Lowell Humane Society Food Pantry.
