Discussion about Virtual Training

Discussion about Virtual Training

Restrictions on social interactions and shopping are slowly lifting, but it’s going to be a while yet until we reach a balance of “the new normal”. In the mean time, people stillneed to continue with dog training, and it’s possible, even if you, your dog and the trainer can’t all be in the same room.
Come join us on June 10, starting at 6:30 as we host a discussion about remote/virtual training with Marjie Alonso, executive director of the IAABC.

New Dogs in Quarantine

New Dogs in Quarantine

Stay-home orders have been a catalyst for pet adoptions. This is a great for all the homeless pets, but there are some challenges, especially for dog adopters. When getting a new dog, care needs to be taken to introduce the dog to the family, socialize the dog with other dogs and new situations, and train the dog. While the introduction to the family is easy during quarantine, the other needs pose some serious challenges. Additionally, adopters need to plan for changing their routine from a stay-home pattern to whatever the new normal becomes.
