CDA Board Meeting and Public Discussion

Jan 31, 2017 | Announcement

There is a meeting of the Chelmsford Dog Association scheduled for Wednesday, February 8th at 6:30 PM in the Community Meeting Room at the Chelmsford Police Department.

After the meeting opens, I have scheduled 30 minutes for a public input session, before we get on to the rest of the official board meeting.

Although there may be several issues or comments that people wish to make during this public session (and those will be heard as well), the main focus will be discussing the current issues at the park regarding the negligence of some owners to pick up after their dogs, or, if they do pick up, their failure to follow the rules that the bags (and other trash) must be taken with them. This has been going on since the removal of the trash cans in early December, but has now reached a tipping point between our desire to have a place for the dogs and the health and safety of those dogs as well as the people of North Chelmsford. (The park is very near to the North Chelmsford watershed and proper clean-up by owners was one of the stipulations on building the park there in the first place).

At the end of the public input session, the CDA will be voting on whether or not to close the park for the remainder of the winter.

Please come and give your input.
