Agility Training Classes

Jun 12, 2016 | Announcement

aframe_agilityThe CDA will be sponsoring dog training classes in the dog park training area this summer. The price of the classes will be donated to the CDA.
While food and toys are not permitted in the dog park, they will be permitted in the training area – during class only. Please do not bring the food and toys into the park until class time and then proceed directly to the training area.

Beginners’ agility:

This class has been filled.

Tuesdays at 6:30, starting on July 5. The class will run for 4 weeks, but save your Tuesdays through Aug 2, in case of rain.
Cost will be $40/dog (the class will be limited to 8 dogs).
You can sign up by emailing Beth at 610logan @ gmail.com.
Please make sure your dog is healthy enough for agility. Dogs over 10 years old or with injuries or illnesses should see a vet before beginning agility.
We’ll be learning jumps, weaves, tunnels, some initial contact work, and general handling skills.

A leash is required for class.

Drop-in training to deal with issues or to teach a few specific skills:

Tuesdays at 6:30, on Aug 23 and 30, Sept 6 and 13
Cost is $5 per class per dog, limited to the first 12 dogs each week.
A leash is required for class.
(Please note, the original publish of this article indicated that the start date was June 28. This has been corrected. The actual start date of the beginner’s agility classes is July 5.)
