-Vivian has dropped flyers off at Countryside and Chelmsford Animal Hospital among other places. CAH also bought 2 bricks
-Senior Center Fair-November 1st 8-3 with GS Troop. Blankets, toys, Plinko, paperwork, brick flyers, Applebee’s flyers, etc-all are welcome to come and spend time
-Applebees-Nov. 6 dining to donate-Beth B. has spread the word at her school
-discussion-Flatbread Tuesday event-tabled until someone takes ownership
-possible Henderson concert-Sandra’s friend is not as excited as she was…Sandra is sensing reluctance. Sandra will work on it a little more.
-Ground breaking event planning-Erik suggested leaving the details to Evan
-Grand opening event planning-Community Band-playing , Sully’s donating ice cream, ribbon cutting etc. We need a tentative date of opening to firm up further details. Maye start planning in January. Erik suggested making the opeing like a Howl’ween event with vendors, food etc
-Pals Membership Program-Will and Erik discussed the difference between an annual membership and a donation. Donations go to help the park and the fee makes you a member. Our bylaws are written to include a membership fee. “If you want to be part of the CDA, you pay the fee.” We anticipate a lot more interest in joining the CDA once the park is open. Mary, Sandra and Will have taken on the task of running the membership program. They will decide what they think is reasonable and present it to the CDA. Perhaps serving on the board gets your membership fee waived.
-update-5 year dinner-Will thinks we can recoup our expenses but would need $300-$500 up front to get the dinner going. Mary had an idea to have a BBQ appreciation-celebration @ the park once it is open.
-donations of services/items for park-status of sponsorships-
Danielle’s cousin has agreed to donate a sign for the main entrance of the park (Cape Cod Carving)
We have read the sign bylaws to see how big, how much print, etc we are allowed. We also have to decide what we want on the sign. Erik suggested the Beech Tree, the town monument and a dog. We will discuss further in January
No other donations at this time
-Rabies clinic-December 6-besides bricks & sponsor sheets, do we want to do something in addition-Sandra said she would sit out front withy membership info and sell hot chocolate
-Photos with Santa, December 7, 2014, staff an info table? Mary/Sandra are Santa’s photographers. Danielle will staff a table at the fire station during the event
