And other activities to be determined by Mother Nature’s whim.

Varney Park has other amenities like a playground, athletic fields and access to Freeman Lake.

Holiday Craft FairHoliday Craft Fair

Where: “The Chelmsford Senior Center” 75 Groton Rd. North Chelmsford, MA 01863
When: Saturday, November 1st, 2014
Time: 9am-3pm



The CDA has teamed up with Girl Scout Troop 60### and will have a table at the Holiday Craft Fair where we will be running our Plinko Game. $1/play supports the CDA and the dog park!

Come join us for some festive fun while getting some holiday shopping done at the holiday craft fair! This event is open to the public and with no admission charge.

There will be:

  • Over 50 homemade crafters
  • Food & refreshments
  • Music
  • Face painting
  • Kids – hands-on crafts table
  • Raffle table
  • Door prizes
  • 50/50 raffle
  • A visit from Santa Claus

Spring Yard Sale

The Chelmsford Dog Association is hosting a spring yard sale on Saturday, May 31, 2014, to benefit the construction and maintenance of a public dog park at 54 Richardson Road in Chelmsford.

Please consider donating your reusable items to the yard sale.

Item Drop-off locations:

  • 23 Maple Road
  • Chelmsford Dog Pound (2 Old North Road, behind the Police Station)

The Chelmsford Dog Association is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, and all donations are tax deductible (with a receipt, given upon request)

Join hundreds of two and four-legged friends at the Lowell Humane Society’s 6th Annual Steps For Pets Walk on Sunday, May 4th, 2014.  When you participate and collect donations for Steps For Pets you have an impact in caring for more than 1,500 homeless animals each year and help us to provide referral assistance to help families keep their pets right at home!

LHS Animals are relying on you! Honor the animals who have impacted your life; who are YOU walking for this year?


  • Registration Fees: Adults- $25, Kids 16 yrs or under $10 (includes t-shirt!)
  • Online registration closes at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd
  • Day-of registration begins at 11am

Please visit the Registration Tent when you arrive at the walk. You’ll receive your t-shirt and entry into prize raffles according to how much you raised!
