Agway Farmers Market-Feb 20 10-2-Mary & Sandra-Mary Will get tablecloth and bin of paperwork from Vivian, push the paperwork for the seminar in March
Christiano Show taping-March 8-Vivian will go, Tom will focus on adoptable pets this time
Volunteer Fair-March 12, 10-12 Senior Center-Beth and Ernie will be there, all are welcome
Pet Behavior Seminar-3/23 & 3/25-needs promotion! Vivian has been promoting it as a phase 1 of the grand opening of the park. Vivian will get something out to Action Unlimited, it’s been on facebook, our website, it’s been promoted at the selectman meetings. We can ask Agway about promoting there. Could we have telemedia go to the park with the drone and do a fly over that it could be used in the seminar
Dog Park Grand Opening Ceremony-tentative 4/16/16-10-12 A lot will depend on -what kind of spring we have and how much cleanup we can do. Erik is going to get working on the signs-He has plans to call a DPAC meeting and invite Paul Cohen to discuss. Vivan will contact The Stanton Foundation to see if they would like to come and say a few words. Vivian will design an invitiation to send out to politicians and others we’d like to come. We may need to get some rollers to pack the ground/grass down depending on how it is when the snow melts. There may need to be some work done to the stumps and roots. Supposedly the pavilion has been ordered. Danielle will call Nashoba Tech to see if someone there can build a shed with the materials we’re getting donated
LHS-Steps for Pets-May 7-Westford 4H, 11-2-It’s the day of the derby party-Mary, and Sarah have volunteered to be there, all others are welcome
Flatbread Pizza Findraiser-May 10 Danielle is working on our canvas
Walgreens Dog Rally-not confirmed-if they are not able to staff the event, we would be happy to cook the food if they can donate it-we would like to avoid July and August
Lions Club Fall Fest: Reservation sent, possible free table this year-September 24, 2016 details TBD-This year the event is combined with the CCA event
Other Business:
-Danielle-entrance sign status- Danielle’s cousin provided a sketch for us to look at. Do we want it in landscape or portrait style? We like the bone in the middle and landscape (4 feet wide, 3 feet tall) White background with black lettering and gold leaf on the pawprint. Gary will help us with the sign posts and we’ll hang it according to bylaw height. We want to have a brick mafde for him as a surprise
-Mary-status of all the projects you were working on-T-shirts, sweats, cards, etc- Mary’s brother has been having some health issues so it’s been put on hold for now. We want to have a brick made for him as a surprise
-Beth L-Chelmsford Telemedia Dog Show -tabled
-Other: Dianne Sherette puts on a show and talks about groups, Vivian has done a recording with her. She’s willing to do something for the grandopening so Vivian will get back together with her
We want telemedia to record our pet behavior seminar-details in the works
-The resurrection of Howl’ween-something to keep in mind going forward
Reports of Officers:
Treasurer– Sandra, accts, paypal-Current balance. There is a check from the Mass State Lottery that hasn’t cleared. Paypal needs a mission statement so we can have fees waived.
Website news-Will- Smile-we just got a check. Hits on FB are up, hits on the site are down. Square- we used square to take in some monies. The new cards with chips can not be read by the old square. They do sell a chip reader for $30. We’ll see if we think it’s necessary during the 4th of July event to decided if we want to purchase one or not. Will needs to finish setting up thr membership signup online. Vivian needs to get minutes to Will as well
Sarah-web blog-Sarah puts something about Benny out there – it’s creating a draw to the website
President Vivian-
2nd Eagle Scout project probable- e-mailed 1/19/16 -has he priced out pine lumber or pressure treated lumber-question to ask him
Erik thinks the kiosk is more of a priority than the picnic tables
tax filing- taxes were filed tonight, we’re all set for another year
DPAC-Erik will coordinate a meeting between DPAC and Paul Cohen regarding signage
