Minutes-Chelmsford Dog Association Meeting

Fundraising/Future Events:
-Volunteer Fair-March 28, 2015 10-12-Beth will be there with Ernie, all are welcome
-LHS-Steps for Pets-May 3-Westford 4H, 11-2-table event-Do we want to put something together for their “wag bags?” We will put some papers together (promoting the dog rally) and a dog bone (200 of them)
-Christiano Show taping-May 26, Vivian will go.
-Walgreens Dog Rally-May 30, 10-2-needs new attractions-
-dog wash-put Mcgruff in a bikini to promote? Vivian will ask Walgreens about a water hookup
-beauty pageant-Vivian will ask Walgreens -if we take pictures, can we print them right away there? What would the cost be? (Danielle and Sandra will work on this)
-posed pictures (costumes, scenery)
-Phase 1 Brick Deadline: April 1, 2015
Beth L presented orders for 2 more bricks, plus a $100 donation and a blank brick form
-Other: Mary will work on an event at Sal’s Pizza for the spring
Finished Events:
-Winterfest, February 7th-It was slow, only about 5 or 6 families-We’ll do Winterfest again at our own park
-The Agway event was kind of a bust-not many customers (bad weather)
*Reports of Officers:
-Treasurer– Sandra- Our current balance
Will will do an adjustment to the donation page to require a physical address for donations
-Tax forms will be filled out March 16th-at 6:30
–Website news-not much new lately. Square: nothing has been done with it-Will will resend the login info to everyone. Smile-Will was able to get in touch with someone…finally! Will had to unregister this account and reset it with the donations address. Will needs a scan of the first page of our bank statement or a scan of a voided check and we should see money from Amazon once a quarter
Sarah-web blog-Sarah put a picture of Brutus up and will add a blog soon
–President’s–Vivian-
–Mike Olanchak- is working on a quote for the gazeebo and then we can get it to Petsmart
-Eagle Scout Report- Donovan is interested in working on the shed for the agility area or one of the kiosks-looking at the plans, there is not currently a shed in the plans for the agility area. Vivian will talk to Evan and ask Sue to add one to the plans. We’re interested in either a 10X10 or 10X12 shed
-Jarrod Kreuger from troop 81 may be interested in an Eagle Scout project
-Motion by Will to spend $96 + tax to order a sign for the park from Express Signs

-Vivian came up with a calendar of events-
Erik is going to do a seminar on dog park etiquette, he’s working with Paul Cohen on vaccinations and how we’re going to enforce this at the park
-Should we move the etiquette seminars towards the end of the summer so it’s closer to the opening? Vivian will talk to Lisa and move them back to August/September
Telemedia is interested in recording

-We have a letter to put on town letterhead and send it out on behalf of DPAC
